Idiots on Patrol: In what is just a mind boggling development, DC Mayor Anthony Williams has offered DC Police Chief Charles Ramsey a 17% increase and a 5 year contract. I guess he gets a % increase for each % the crime rate goes up...man, glad I'm moving to the suburbs -

A start, but not far enough: A NJ State Assembly committee passed a bill that would call a Constitutional Convention to rework the property tax system. A good development, but what NJ really needs is a convention that reworks the entire state constitution, stopping the proliferation of too much local government -

Here comes the big box: So you can't eat in the Metro, but soon you'll be able to buy milk, rent a DVD, or anything else that you can do at the Big Box. For those of you not from DC, the Big Box is an experimental vending machine that McDonald's has in a neighborhood here...basically, it's an entire convenience store in a vending machine -
