State of Disaster?

States face a deadline, the Democratic Ballclub faces a deadline, and Bigfoot goes to China

2nd Quarter FEC Reports are due tonight, the final amounts should come out in the next few days, but the big story among the political class today is that the winner apparently will be Howard Dean with almost $7 million. If this is the case, it could have implications for the race, as it cements him as a top-tier candidate. Can Dean survive as a front runner? What happened to the ability of Graham, Gephardt, and Lieberman to fundraise? Will Carol Mosely-Braun pass the $100,000 mark? In just a few short hours, dear readers, the questions will be answered...in the meantime, here's today's insanity.

States in Trouble: With many state's fiscal years beginning tomorrow, July 1, disasters loom over a few states still in crisis. The worst are perhaps in California -

Look Who's Running for President: The 2nd Quarter FEC reports are due tonight, and the speculation has begun on who will raise the most, and if anyone can even hope to approach President Bush's total. Early speculation is that Lieberman and Graham will not to as well as expected, and Dean will do better than expected. Edwards, who was the 1st quarter champ, is not expected to repeat -
